Salesforce For NonProfits

Many of the Nonprofit organizations today are using the Nonprofit Success Pack (NPSP),that allows user to bring all the data together in one place, so as to get a complete view of the organization’s impact. NPSP helps in achieving this by offering standard features, as well as the ability to customize any feature to meet unique needs. The Nonprofit Success Pack NPSP (earlier known as “Nonprofit Starter Pack) is a set of managed packages developed and maintained by Salesforce.org and made available for free for Nonprofits via the Salesforce AppExchange. Salesforce for Nonprofits allows them to better manage some common nonprofit business processes and operations

Some of the features of NPSP are as follows-

  • Donor management- Managing donations
  • Case management- Case management includes logging, routing, tracking, and approvals
  • Manage volunteers- It helps in tracking the volunteers, events, shifts, and hours
  • Reports and Dashboards- Running and scheduling reports, and building dashboards with drag-and-drop tools

Salesforce.org has recently announced Nonprofit Cloud that integrates multiple Salesforce products to achieve donor management, fundraising and other operational activities in Nonprofits. Nonprofit cloud is like an enhanced and more advanced version of NPSP. With NPSP being at the core of the program, Nonprofit Cloud can be used to design solutions in order to manage Nonprofit tasks and activities like fundraising and much more.

Some of the new features encapsulated in Nonprofit Cloud are as follows-

  • Einstein Analytics- It will help Nonprofits to make smarter and faster decisions about their programs. It will provide fundraisers with real time data which will allow them to use time efficiently.
  • Lightning Batch gift entry- It will make it quick and easy to enter gift data, providing the advantage of batch data import and allows for customization at much higher level.
  • Data Storage Optimizer- This is a new product under Nonprofit Cloud solution, which enables the Nonprofits to access archived data, stored at different places of the platform, in order to create reports and dashboards.
